Data Sharing in Mouse Functional Genomics

Rome, 20-22 May 2009

The CASIMIR meeting on Data and Resource Sharing in mouse functional genomics took place in Rome between 21-23 May 2009. The meeting brought to together representatives of funding agencies and scientific Journals together with economists, sociologists, lawyers and researchers to examine the factors inhibiting the sharing of data and bioresources from publicly funded science.

The meeting resulted in the agreement on an agenda for the Community - The Rome Agenda - articulating the issues believed to be critical in freeing up the sharing of resources to support research and discovery.
